Check Running Processes on Your System

Most people here would know how to bring up a list of processes that are running on our systems. But, what are those processes that Control-Alt-Delete shows? Check out this Process Library. In some cases, malware uses the same names as MS files.
Don't delete files that look suspicious until you check vendor data by right clicking and opening "processes." You should download MS' "Malicious Software Remover." It is free, and is constantly updated to meet new threats.

For those unaware, under "run" on your main popup menu, type "msconfig" and run, and then scroll across to "startup." If you find Quicktime and Adobe processes are loading at startup, you should eliminate those and all printer functions that you should open only when they are needed. Download the free utility - CC Cleaner - to edit "startup" items. Do not remove any Microsoft or Anti-Virus functions. The purpose of doing the above is to quicken startup. If that isn't an issue; don't bother.
